Williamsburg Style Wall Sconces - Elizabeth resides in Mesa, Arizona. She's a Ranch style four bedrooms, three and one half bath home in the standard Spanish architecture of that area of the southwestern United States. Anyway, she wrote to me saying that she was doing some decorating in 2 rooms of her home and was looking for some wall decorating ideas. Elizabeth proceeded further to say that the rooms that she was about to decorate would be the living area and the dining area. To make things easier for me to know in regards to the decor and furniture already in those chambers, she sent me images of both of those chambers so that I could study them attentively and make my ideas.
Almost instantly my ideas went to wall sconce candle holders. There are a few gorgeous pieces that would add subtle allure to any southwestern decor. I began with the living area. In this area, the carpeting is a moderate tan. There is a rather big overstuffed dark brown leather couch, a red leather seat and a fabric seat in a southwestern design of reds, yellows, greens, and golds. Surrounded by the couch and chairs is a sizable square marble coffee table at a medium dark brown marble swirl. That is an adobe fireplace at the wall corner in the form of a cone with the larger portion of the cone on the bottom, tapering up the corner of the wall.
To the left of the fireplace are windows and a sliding glass door overlooking the desert and hills in the background. On the ideal side of the fireplace is a wall with two big unframed Native American oil paintings, one on top of the opposite. This is due to the lack of wall space since there is a massive oak entertainment center covering most of the wall space.
This is all I had to see. I immediately went to work and found several wall sconce candle holders which would complete this room. My options were the Varazze Wall Sconce, the Leyanna Mosaic Wall Sconce, the Belleville Wall Sconce or the Meyda Scrolling Wall Sconce. Any one of those wall sconce candle holders would add an amazing sense to Elizabeth's dwelling room.Next, I took a peek at the images of Elizabeth's dining area. The floor in this area is oak. In the center of the room is a rustic appearing big oak dining room table sitting on a sizable southwestern style woven carpet. Around the table are just ten bamboo seats with ox blood colored cushioned leather backs and seats.
Below the tapestry is a long buffet cabinet which matches the dining table and seats. The outside wall has two rather big windows with vibrant southwestern window treatments. The wall space in between the two big windows is a boulder fireplace going up the whole wall. It took me just a couple of minutes before I had some excellent suggestions for wall sconce candle holders on both sides of the tapestry. I came up with three wall sconce candle holders which would enhance the total look of the room. These options were the Crossed Arrow Western Wall Sconce Pair, the Rustic Essence Wall Sconce, along with the Copper Round Sconce Pair. Any of them would add a warm atmosphere to the room.
